New Parts did the trick!!! Updated at 1705

Do you want to help the broken down volvo? We are doing the rally. We have no spark in the 91 740. Waiting on parts but any help would be awesome!

No spark, so I am guessing distributor or coils?

I googled.

http://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-240-740-940-12/1991-740-no-spark-41982/

Are any of these parts on the way?

(1) rpm sensor

(2) Power Stage

(3) ignition coil,

(4) wires

We order a coil and a control module hopping That’s it! It’s freezing and snowing here so working on this thing sucks lol

you might try “beating” on the control module see if it starts back up.(get a screw driver and tap on it)

Yeah, it has a coil that’s not putting out spark, hoping it’s that or the ignition control module. If not we may have to wait around and order more parts

Yeah, it’s been a constant run once we got it fixed sorry if I didn’t reply. (I’ve been up 22 hours on 2 hours sleep)

It was either the coil or the ignition control module. We replaced both

There is so much snow! It was blinding! Also going up in altitude with 46hp is prob not a great idea!

My Dad’s old 240 used to have ignition issues, among several others. It was the coil.
